Pay: $17.13–$19.00 per Hour
Schedule: 9:45 AM–6:15 PM, Weekend Availability Required

The primary focus of this position is retail store leadership and operations, with U-Haul responsibilities serving as a secondary but important part of the role.

Position Overview

The Retail Store Lead is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, supporting team members, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient shopping environment. This role requires someone who can confidently operate the store independently while upholding company standards and culture.

Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership, key holder, or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to lead by example and work independently

• Valid driver's license required

• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work at both locations

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed

• Weekend availability is required

Primary Responsibilities (Retail Leadership)

• Open and close the store independently

• Lead and support store associates throughout daily operations

• Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns

• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards

• Stock, price, and rotate merchandise

• Manage inventory and ensure products are displayed effectively

• Delegate tasks and hold team members accountable to daily expectations

• Operate the register and handle cash management procedures

• Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed

• Support both Cheaper By The Minute locations as business needs require

Secondary Responsibilities (U-Haul Support)

• Assist customers with U-Haul rentals and reservations

• Perform truck and trailer inspections before and after rentals

• Clean and stage vehicles for customers

• Conduct routine lot checks and maintain equipment appearance

• Complete required U-Haul certification and training

• Provide excellent customer service throughout the rental process
