Location: Cheaper By The Minute – Spokane Valley & North Division
Job Type: Full-Time (38–40 hours per week)
Pay: $17.13–$18.00 per hour
Schedule: 9:45 AM–6:15 PM, weekend availability required

About the Role

Cheaper By The Minute is looking for a motivated and dependable Retail Sales Associate who enjoys helping customers, staying active, and being part of a team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in retail with opportunities to grow into leadership.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll play a key role in creating a great customer experience while learning every aspect of store operations. Employees who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and strong performance have opportunities to advance into Store Lead and other leadership positions through our merit-based promotion program.

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

• Ability to work at both store locations as business needs require

• Weekend availability required

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain on your feet for extended periods

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

• Retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet and assist customers with finding products

• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer customer questions

• Operate the cash register and accurately process transactions

• Help customers load larger purchases when needed

• Resolve customer concerns professionally

Store Operations

• Stock shelves and merchandise products

• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and fully stocked

• Price and label merchandise accurately

• Perform section checks and maintain store presentation standards

• Assist with inventory counts and restocking

• Help receive and process incoming merchandise

• Support both store locations as business needs require
